Beginning Jeffrey's Seventh Trip Around The Sun

So last night after I got off work we went to Applebee's here in Minot – don't know if Jeffrey decided that himself or Martha urged it on him, but the fact that for his birthday he'd get a free dessert sundae and, we learned to our pleased surprise, that kids eat for ninety-nine cents on Tuesdays, did not hurt.

With Martha eating the three penne pasta, Sarah a kids' size plate of that, Jeffrey the grilled cheese and me the bourbon chicken and grilled shrimp preceded by an appetizer of cheese sticks, that AND dessert for us all cost (with tip) about thirty-five dollars is an improvement for us eating out!

I didn't like waiting in a single cashier line afterward to buy a gallon of milk at Marketplace by Dakota Square, but nobody can fault Claudia the cashier for that, or Ana at Applebee's for us having to wait with one of those vibrating coaster thingies, or Whitney not being able to get the kids' portion of penne pasta on the first try. We're all human.

While we were gone last night the volunteer group from Our Redeemer's Church was hydro-seeding our lawn, and this morning Martha had to take the kids to her mom's because I had a nine am meeting with Jessica regarding Shaklee.

We'd first met a few weeks ago at a vendor fair and she agreed to meet me again for she had questions about all that Shaklee offered for health and beauty and home – it's quite a bit, all environmentally friendly. We also got in some good conversation that way.

One bottle of Shaklee's Basic H along contains the equivalent cleaning power of 4800 bottles of Windex! There's so much to fit into one presentation, even with the website and catalog Tara (she's the person who introduced Martha and me to Shaklee, and we've been doing awesome!) and I shared with her, and you can save quite a bit of money there too, that she's uncertain where to start. I'll talk to her after Independence Day again, and I'm looking forward to it. I'm also excited that for the month of July

.. oh yes, for the month of July you can order any of Shaklee's three hundred plus products and become a member – thereby becoming eligible for a 15% discount on all the products you buy! – for FREE. (That saves you twenty bucks right there!)

And now I is at work … I know we're doing something Independence Day tomorrow – sorry, I have a hard time saying “Fourth of July” because that makes it just another day to me, just thinking – but I do not know what yet. But that's ok, I like surprises. And now for eleven more things I found in the drafts on my cell phone to round out today ...
